The people are best placed to come together and help solve the problems affecting us all!
The things which affect us all:
Poverty and inequality, discrimination and hate crime, the climate crisis and crime. These things are affecting us all and they stifle our ability to work together and create better communities together.
Fully funded comprehensive plans:
We call for the creation, by the people, of comprehensive plans to deal with the many problems affecting our communities. We call for these plans to be fully funded to enable them to be enacted. The process of creating and enacting these plans must be based upon a community, democratic and holistic approach, and include the many organisations already working on many of these problems.
Devolution of power and resources:
We call for the devolution of power and resources from the central government to local communities to enable us to solve the problems affecting our communities. This does not mean of course these communities couldn’t choose to work together with each other to collectively help solve problems which affect us all. We further call for the devolution of power and resources at a regional and local level from the councils to democratic neighbourhood committees to help our communities to revitalise themselves.
